The newFlathead Valley Reentry Center (FVRC)plays an integral role in shaping the way we deliver structure and accountability while supporting success for residents returning to their community at this first-ever DOC-owned and operated prerelease center. The Intake Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations and resident services at the Flathead Valley Reentry Center. This position is responsible for coordinating the intake process for new residents ensuring accurate documentation and providing administrative and front-desk support to maintain efficient program operations.

  • Schedule and coordinate the intake of residents into the reentry program.

  • Conduct and coordinate initial screenings and assessments in accordance with program requirements.

  • Gather review and maintain resident records reports and required documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with facility reporting requirements and established procedures.

  • Greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner answer inquiries and direct individuals to the appropriate staff member.

  • Answer and route incoming telephone calls provide information to callers record messages and transfer calls as appropriate.

  • Prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS

The knowledge skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

  • Bachelors degree in criminal justice psychology education or a related field.

  • One year of job-related experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

  • Ability to handle confidential information

Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
