Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Resident Engineer to join our team in this critical role you will assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing large-scale Building projects ensuring they are completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Assist in managing day-to-day construction activities coordinating with contractors subcontractors and other stakeholders
- Monitor project progress identify potential issues and implement solutions to keep projects on track
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans specifications and safety regulations
- Review and approve technical submittals shop drawings and material samples
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports progress reports and technical correspondence
- Collaborate with the project team to resolve design conflicts and construction-related problems
- Assist in contract administration including change orders payment applications and claims management
- Ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations specific to Kuwait
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients consultants and team members
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of experience including 3 years as Deputy Resident Engineer in civil engineering projects with a focus on large-scale Building/infrastructure
- Valid membership with the Kuwait Society Engineers (KSE)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and industry best practices
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations particularly those applicable in Kuwait
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Technical report writing and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
