JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the general guidance of the Assistant Bar Manager the Restaurant Server assist in ensuring friendly efficient and effective service of food and beverages to all guests in a timely fashion in accordance with standards and individual guest requirements at all times respecting the companys Core Values.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
- Present menus and inform guests about daily specials assisting them in making informed dining choices.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff efficiently to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Clear and clean tables after guests depart preparing them for the next seating.
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system handling cash and credit transactions securely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area including restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism seeking assistance from management when necessary.
- Stay informed about menu items ingredients and preparation methods to answer guest inquiries effectively.
- Assist in opening and closing duties including setting up and breaking down the dining area.
- Uphold the restaurants standards for service quality appearance and guest experience.
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
- We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
