The ECC Behavioral Health RN under the supervision on the Nurse Director or designee is responsible for the nursing care of assigned behavioral health patients located in the Emergency Care Center (ECC). Included in such responsibility is the goal of facilitating ECC psychiatric patients admission process to the inpatient psychiatric units or the transfer of patients to outside facilities. The ECC Behavioral Health Nurse will care for the behavioral health patient while awaiting consultation from PES or bed placement including medication administration vital signs and ADLs. This nurse will work closely with the ECC staff Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) and the inpatient psychiatric units.II. Major Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current license by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for health care provider required upon hire or during orientation.
Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required within 6 months of hiring.
