Job Summary

Join a well-established Morgantown law firm as a Family Law Litigation Attorney. Handle divorce custody child support spousal support and other domestic relations cases from intake to resolution including contested litigation. We seek a client-focused organized attorney who thrives in a professional fast-paced environment and has both legal expertise and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full caseload of family law matters including divorce custody and support cases
Represent clients in court hearings mediations settlement conferences and trials
Draft pleadings motions discovery and legal correspondence
Develop case strategies and plans from intake to resolution
Maintain professional clear communication with clients
Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff for efficient case management

Requirements:

Active West Virginia law license (or ability to obtain)
JD degree from an accredited law school
2 years of family law litigation experience preferred
Strong courtroom mediation and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines

Preferred:

Prior trial experience in family law
Familiarity with WV family law statutes and procedures
Experience handling contested custody/support cases
