Location

Job Description

• Collaborate with developers traders and quantitative researchers to ensure the stability and performance of trading systems and core infrastructure.
• Design build and maintain automation for workflows data pipelines and system operations.
• Create tools that improve system reliability observability and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications networks and operating systems in production and staging environments.
• Deploy and configure applications using configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Manage containerized environments and support deployments to on-premises and co-located data centers.
• Support database administration monitoring and performance tuning as part of overall system health.
• Implement and refine logging metrics and alerting to ensure rapid issue detection and response.
• Document systems procedures and runbooks to support repeatable high-quality operations.
• Participate in on-call or rotation-based support for critical trading hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of full-time professional experience in DevOps Site Reliability Engineering or a similar high-performance technology role.
• Proven experience troubleshooting application networking and operating system issues in production environments.
• Strong proficiency with both Windows and Linux comfortable working in command-line and GUI environments.
• Solid scripting skills in one or more languages such as Python Bash PowerShell or Ruby.
• Experience with containerization technologies databases and observability best practices.
• Familiarity with data formats including JSON XML and Parquet.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities handle pressure and communicate clearly with multiple teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a strong emphasis on documentation and process.
• Ability to work on-site in the Chicago office and lift up to 50 pounds when required.
