Position: Talk Show Producer AM800 CKLW (Full-Time)

Location: 1640 Ouellette ave Windsor ON

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours/Week

Responsibilities

Working closely with host and program director to establish clear direction of daily content
Identify the stories that matter most to Windsor-Essex and find a way to advance the story and/or approach it with a unique perspective
Researching segment topics and provide the show host with all show prep material required
Booking the best guests who can inform and entertain the audience
Establishing relationships with media contacts related to the program (political entertainment etc.)
Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of news and social issues that relate to our audience
Ensure all show content is available on all available audio and social platforms.
Working with host to record other production that is required
Participate in on air banter during live show within guidelines & stipulations of the CA
The selected candidate must be able to quickly switch priorities multi-task and get along with others
Operate the board during live morning show weekdays
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Post secondary degree/diploma from a recognized Broadcast Program or equivalent experience
Strong communication and writing skills
Demonstrated creativity skills in engaging users
Must be organized and able to handle multiple assignments
Excellent interpersonal skills and has a positive attitude
Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
Strong computer skills and internet proficiency
Highly motivated and with the ability to meet high production standards and tight deadlines
Ability to work in a fast paced customer focused environment

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
