About us
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service is a not-for-profit organisation providing world class aeromedical search and rescue services to those in need 24/7. The Service has 50 years of proud history and operates from three bases in NSW (Tamworth Belmont Lismore) in addition to a Head Office and Deep Level Maintenance (DLM) facility based in Broadmeadow (Newcastle) NSW. About the positions
We are currently seeking an experienced Store Person to support our Maintenance department.
In this key support position youll ensure that all inventory required for our aircraft maintenance is adequately stocked and available at both main and operational bases so that our maintenance teams can carry out required maintenance and repair on the aircraft fleet in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires a personable team player with the ability to assess and monitor inventory levels for distribution communicate with key stakeholders and be proactively complete all routine work activities.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Regularly communicate with key stakeholders to ensure the provision of proactive and efficient stores support.
- Manage inventory levels using the Computer Based Maintenance Software (CBMS) system to ensure that inventory is adequately stocked and available at both main and operational bases.
- Source and obtain supplier quotations for procurement overhaul repair or exchange.
- Process returned items and maintain accurate timely store transactions.
- Proactively monitor procurement progress including estimated delivery dates and maintain effective communication with suppliers with the ability to negotiate as required.
- Coordinate freight movements including compliance for dangerous goods.
- Receive and record deliveries and reconcile supplier invoices.
- Manage warranty claims through to closure.
- Support internal and external maintenance requirements for company tooling and equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and produce periodic reports.
- Identify and recommend corrective actions to maintain service quality.
- Provide inventory support to CAMO and AMO teams.
- Assist with projects and ad-hoc tasks.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with Part 42 and 145 requirements.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Services values of compassion unity accountability and integrity whilst demonstrating and promoting a positive and proactive attitude toward safety quality and environmental standards at all times.
About you
To be considered for this role you will ideally have:
- A minimum education to School Certificate level with a Certificate III or IV in Logistics desirable
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Previous experience in a fast paced stores environment
- Whilst not essential it is desirable if you have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in logistics supply preferably within the aviation industry within a rotary wing operation
- Demonstrated proactive approach to creating a respectful safe and inclusive culture
- Proven attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience taking initiative and solving problems early
- Intermediate computer skills (including Inventory Management Systems Air Maestro PowerPoint Word and Excel skills)
