The Role

As a Scrum Master you will support the delivery of a flagship Agentic AI transformation programme for a major UK Telecommunications provider. Working from our Innovation Hub in Athlone you will enable high-performing cross-functional teams delivering AI agents automation platforms and cloud-native services.

This role requires a hands-on pragmatic Scrum Master who understands modern software engineering and can operate effectively in a technically complex regulated environment. You will focus on flow delivery predictability and continuous improvement rather than process for process sake.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Facilitation: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning Daily Stand-ups Reviews and Retrospectives ensuring they deliver real value.

• Flow & Delivery: Monitor delivery flow sprint health and throughput helping teams remove impediments and improve predictability.

• Impediment Removal: Actively identify and remove blockers across people process and technology escalating when necessary.

• Team Coaching: Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles while adapting practices pragmatically to fit a complex technical environment.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners Engineering Managers and Project Managers to align priorities and delivery plans.

• Dependency Management: Help manage dependencies across teams platforms and external stakeholders.

• Metrics & Transparency: Track and communicate delivery metrics such as velocity cycle time and sprint health to support data-driven improvement.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive retrospectives and improvement actions that enhance team effectiveness quality and delivery outcomes.

Must-Have Skills

• Proven experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead in software engineering teams.

• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum and Kanban practices with the ability to apply them pragmatically.

• Experience working with technically complex systems such as cloud platforms distributed systems or data-intensive solutions.

• Strong facilitation and coaching skills across cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work effectively with engineers architects and technical stakeholders.

• Experience using Agile tooling such as Jira and Confluence.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A delivery-focused mindset with an emphasis on outcomes over ceremony.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience working in telecom environments or large-scale infrastructure programmes.

• Familiarity with AI automation or cloud-native platforms.

• Experience operating within SAFe or hybrid Agile delivery models.

• Exposure to DevOps CI/CD pipelines or SRE practices.
