Role: Appian Developer

Location: Remote ( Washington DC)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Task Description:

This role will develop Appian solutions. This will include:

• Designing Appian based solutions to meet business requirements
• Developing complex process models in Appian
• Developing user interface screens using reusable components
• Integrating with other applications using Appian connected systems web-api and integration objects
• Developing Appian plugins using Java
• Integrating Appian applications with relational and NOSQL databases
• Developing outbound Rest APIs hosted in Appian
• Developing integration objects to call external SOAP and REST APIs
• Reading/writing documents to Appian content management
• Using existing Appian plugins to implement functionality such as sending e-mail creating or manipulating PDF documents triggering sftp tasks reading and writing from files etc.
• Creating and deploy build packages in Appian
• Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team-based environment

Required skills/Level of Experience:

• Certified Level 1 Appian Developer
• 2 years of recent hands-on development experience with Appian including user interfaces sites portals complex process models dashboards web apis connected systems integration objects dashboards custom data types etc.
• 1 year of experience with relational databases and SQL scripting.
• 2 years of experience in all phases of software development for large-scale business critical applications following Agile methodologies.
• 1 years of experience in the design and implementation of SOAP and REST Web Service.
• Experience working with architects and business analysts to understand business requirements.
• Experience developing Appian Plugin
• Experience with json and integrating with NOSQL databases

Nice to have skills:

• Certified Level 2 Appian Developer
• 2 years of recent work experience on a software development project in a federal government setting.
• Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including teamwork and facilitation
