Job Summary

Sutton School seeks two part-time full year Custodian. This job includes customary cleaning sweeping mopping vacuuming removing trash restocking bathrooms etc. Minor maintenance including repairs and painting moving furniture during the summer assistance with snow removal in the winter etc. Additional custodial duties include securing the building preparing for special events directing traffic at times and operation of typical custodial equipment such as floor machines. We maintain a collaborative team environment where flexibility and cooperation are expected. Strong interpersonal skills for interactions with colleagues staff and students are a must. The pay range for this position is $17.21-$23.57/hr. Sutton School is part of the Kingdom East School District located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have choice and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their are located about 3 hours from Montreal Boston and Portland ME. Our region is known for breathtaking views and access to great skiing hiking mountain biking fishing canoeing and other outdoor opportunities. We are close to the White Mountains and the Green Mountains. Both Littleton NH and St. Johnsbury VT have numerous fine and performing arts venues.
