Job Summary
Aspire a Massachusetts General Hospital program specializes in helping children teens and adults on the autism spectrum achieve success. Our programming is uniquely designed to help participants with Asperger profiles develop positive self-awareness stress management and social competency skills so they can succeed at home school work and in community settings. Aspire offers year-round programming for individuals aged 5 years to adult including weekly social groups adventure summer camp for children six-week summer programs for teens and young adults and special events. For over thirty years Aspire has championed individuals on the spectrum. We are dedicated to understanding and serving this population of exceptional individuals. Our structured therapeutic programming is guided by our comprehensive knowledge of who our participants are and our mission to best support them.Qualifications
The Explorations Summer Program Manager is responsible for managing and supervising all staff including Assistant Managers Group Leaders/Assistant Group Leaders and Program Assistant. Responsibilities include facilitating the implementation of Aspire program curriculum; leading training of staff throughout the program; collaborating with group leaders to develop interventions supports and strategies for program participants; modifying curriculum as needed; maintaining communication with families and accurate record keeping; overseeing the day to day operations including field trips and communication with outside agencies; and supporting compliance of program policies and procedures.

1. Supervise all staff and work with leadership staff to promote programmatic excellence. Support staff to promote participant growth problem-solve facilitate social interaction manage behaviors and communicate challenges.
2. Provide guidance resources and oversight to all staff as they design clear and appropriate goals for each group member assess progress and design interventions to foster further growth.
3. Oversee the implementation of curriculum and activity blocks specifically focused on: social competency self-awareness and stress management. Work with group leaders to develop individualized plans to support program participants.
4. Lead and/or support required participant and family meetings including orientation and parent conferences.
5. Facilitate daily staff meetings and regular professional development communicate clearly and directly with staff participate actively in group supervision and promote a collaborative and participant-focused culture amongst program staff.
6. Maintain the rules of confidentiality and all HIPAA expectations and promote the health and safety of program participants and staff at all times.
7. Complete evaluation forms incident reports end-of-program reports and other assigned paperwork in a timely manner. Maintain records and documentation outlined in the Policies and Procedures manual.
8. Work collaboratively with area agencies to ensure Aspires ongoing positive relationships with community including school personnel MGH staff transportation personnel Department of Public Health etc.
Degree: Masters Degree preferred Enrolled in or graduate of a graduate program in psychology social work occupational therapy speech and language pathology or other mental health field.
Have current First Aid/CPR can be accessed through Aspire. Required or Preferred
