Civil Safety Engineer - Bengaluru
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. This vital role is essential to ensuring that our construction projects adhere to the highest safety an ever-evolving industry the Civil Safety Engineer will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety while contributing to the successful execution of projects that align with our commitment to quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough safety assessments and risk analysis for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Develop and implement safety policies programs and initiatives in compliance with local and national regulations.
- Monitor construction sites for adherence to safety standards and provide guidance to onsite personnel.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety measures into project plans.
- Conduct regular training and workshops to educate staff and subcontractors on safety practices.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on safety incidents observations and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain documentation of safety inspections audits and compliance records.
- Advise on the selection and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents and near-misses proposing actionable corrective measures.
- Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices regarding civil safety engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Safety Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety engineering within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of local state and federal safety regulations.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH) is preferred.
- Proficient in safety management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey safety information.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across disciplines.
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct training and presentations effectively.
