Purpose Statement
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Design program and maintain PLCs HMIs and VFD systems for automated equipment.
- Develop and implement control strategies to improve process efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance engineering and production teams on equipment upgrades and new installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards electrical codes and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of control systems including schematics and software backups.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel on control systems.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Automation or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley).
- Experience with HMI development and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems instrumentation and industrial networking.
- Knowledge of safety standards (NFPA 70E OSHA) and control system best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with robotics motion control and vision systems.
- Familiarity with MES systems and data integration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
