Job Description:
The Indirect Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement of indirect goods and services across the organization. This role involves sourcing supplier negotiation and contract management to ensure the best value is obtained for all indirect procurement activities
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories such as IT operations capital professional services facilities management marketing and HR services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends that may impact supply and pricing.
- Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process including document preparation bid analysis and supplier selection.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms focusing on cost reduction quality improvement and service level agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers conducting regular business reviews to ensure performance metrics are met.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with the organizations procurement strategy.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance addressing any issues related to delivery quality or compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and prepare reports for management review.
- Mentor and support junior procurement staff sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field and a minimum of 4 years of related experience experience in indirect procurement or a similar role within a complex organizational setting or a Masters degree and 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong understanding of procurement principles contract law and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and service improvements.
- Proficient with procurement software systems and tools as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C Denver or NYC areas is $73000-$135000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state and Vermont is $63500-$117500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
