We are seeking a detail-oriented and committedSub Accountantto join our professional and collaborative school operations team. The successful candidate will support the schools day-to-day accounting activities ensure accurate financial records and contribute to the smooth and compliant running of the finance function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the day-to-day accounting operations of the school ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Assist with the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for invoices payments receipts and expense reports.
- Support monthly quarterly and annual closing processes.
- Assist in bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
- Support payroll-related accounting activities in coordination with HR and external providers.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and schedules for internal review.
- Ensure compliance with local tax requirements and support filings when required.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and archives.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
- Collaborate closely with the Accountant / Finance Manager and other internal stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as required by the school.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A degree or technical qualification in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 24 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience working with accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
- High attention to detail accuracy and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive reliable and collaborative approach to work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
- Knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations in Peru is highly desirable.
- Experience in an educational or service-based organization is an advantage.
