Maintain Agency listing of assets record acquisition disposal and transfer transactions into the asset/property management system; prepare supporting documentation for assets through auction trade in donation missing lost destroyed stolen or transferred; prepare monthly and annual asset workpapers.
Schedules organizes and performs on-site physical verification of Agency assets in coordination with Departmental Inventory Coordinators according to Agency and State of Florida policies and statutes; reconciles results with financial records; follow up on discrepancies prepares report to document annual inventory results and suggestions for improvement.
Prepare and maintain Asset/Property Control manual.
Train internal users on asset processes policies and procedures.
Regular and prompt attendance is mandatory in the performance of an employees duties for this position to include scheduled work hours and required training activities calls for mandatory overtime needs and calls for service during times of an emergency.
Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations regarding public property administration. Prior experience with law enforcement property is helpful.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and maintain a positive working relationship with other departments employees and contractors. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Ability to exercise independent judgment in resolving problems and issues. Ability to perform technical research prepare reports and reconcile property records.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel with the ability to reconcile data across multiple inventory and financial systems. Experience with Tyler ERP Software is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is generally performed in a standard office setting; working conditions require normal safety precautions typical of such an environment. May be required to work evenings and/or weekends or in emergency situations.

Unclassified Position
External applicants for employment will submit to a thorough background investigation which includes but not limited to past employment/education verification driver license review credit history prior drug use history arrest/conviction record and computerized voice stress analysis (CVSA) testing. A certified examiner administers the CVSA with questions addressing illegal drug use and general questions of honesty and criminal history. Any dishonesty or deception on the Employment Application will disqualify your application.
The background investigation process may take 3-6 months depending upon the complexity of the applicants background and position for which youve applied. Applicants selected for employment will be provided a conditional offer and required to submit to a medical examination with drug screening.

An applicants tattoos and body ornamentation must be disclosed at the time of application and will be documented as part of the agencys review process even if otherwise meeting the Agencys policy.
