We are currently seeking an Entry Level Plant Engineer to join our this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing production processes in a plant startup environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in starting up optimizing and ensuring the successful implementation of new processes and technologies.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Develop work instructions and operating procedures for manufacturing.
Develop LOTO procedures for all equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
Member of the commissioning team for the plant start up.
Analyze existing production processes to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to optimize efficiency reduce waste and enhance product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production engineering and quality assurance to implement process improvements and resolve issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot process issues recommending and implementing corrective actions.
Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor and control process variables.
Ensure compliance with safety health and environmental regulations in process design and implementation.
Ability to read/understand/utilize P&IDs.
Train production personnel on new processes and equipment and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in engineering (prefer chemical mechanical electrical manufacturing) or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience (Co-op/internships/full time) as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of production processes including but not limited to manufacturing chemical processing and quality control.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing processes.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving operational excellence.
Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
