This is a two-year residential research and teaching fellowship welcoming of early-career scholars from a broad range of social backgrounds including those under-represented in academia. The Philosophy Department at Barnard College is searching for an early-career Faculty Fellow who specializes in social philosophy feminist philosophy philosophy of gender and/or philosophy of race (or their combination). The department is comprised of faculty who work in a variety sub-fields and approach philosophy in different ways spanning continental and analytic approaches to philosophy. Several of our faculty members have interests in related fields and we are keen to invite a candidate whose work focuses squarely in these areas for collaboration discussion and mentorship. The candidate would also benefit from interaction with members of the Columbia philosophy department.

Required Qualifications
Terminal degree in a relevant discipline with all requirements for the degree completed by the start of appointment (i.e. July 1 2026).

Salary: $75000.
The salary for this position is fixed and non-negotiable.
