MISSION STATEMENT

The Montana Department of Revenue administers almost 40 state taxes property appraisals liquor laws and unclaimed property for the state of Montana. The Information Management and Collections Division serve Montana citizens and businesses through processing tax returns refunds and payments timely and accurately integrating improved technology to enhance the user experience increasing electronic filing resolving overdue debt and collection other state debt.
DUTIES
Job Overview:
This position resides in the Information Management and Collections Division of Department of Revenue. Duties includecoordinating the ongoing programactivities of processing incoming correspondence payments returns and data. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining data tracking data and system performance ensuring secure handling and processing of taxpayer incumbent provides consultation technical assistance training and outreach to internal and external users to promote effective system operations. This includes overseeing system research enhancement validation readiness and reporting projects. The position resides in the Information Management Bureau which comprised of three units Customer & Payment Management Digitization and Information Governance. The position reports to the Unit Manager. This position does not supervise other staff.
This is a temporary seasonal position with the peak workload generally from February through June (may work up to sixmonths). The incumbent may be assigned to work directly for any of the three units in the lnformation Management Bureaubased on workload need and qualifications.
