Job Summary
Golf Greenskeeper / Turf Care
The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course is Audubon-certified and carved right into the slopes of the coastal mountain range. Working in the Golf Grounds department the Groundskeeper teams high attention to detail ensures golf course maintenance is completed to exceed our golfers expectations.
This is a full-time seasonal position starting April 2026 and ending in October 2026.
Starting rate of pay: $20.75 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.60.
Job Duties Include:
- Consistently offering professional engaging and friendly service
- Cutting grass with a wide variety of self-propelled and push type machines
- General landscaping hand-mowing and weed-eating duties
- Maintaining cleanliness and neatness of the Golf Course area including cart paths fairways greens roughs and tees
- Smoothing bunker sand with hand rakes and machines
- Setting the golf course for play
- Labor intensive work in the form of digging lifting and pushing
Qualifications :
- Experience working in Golf course turf care is an asset but not required
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Updated drivers abstract
- Perform tasks under minimal supervision
- Knowledge of tools methods and materials used in grounds and landscape maintenance work
- Understanding of the rules of golf
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
