Job Summary
Golf - Retail Associate
As a Golf - Retail Associate at Fairmont Chateau Whistler you will be an ambassador for our on-site championship golf course and the exceptional service that our colleagues offer. Your warm personal attention provides a memorable experience for guests of our golf course making them feel welcome and valued.
Starting Rate of Pay: $21.60 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $24.95.
Job Duties Include:
- Maximize retail profits through effective sales techniques expert product knowledge and inventory controls
- Coordinate golf course registration
- Ensure the Golf Shop is professionally merchandised at all times
- Assist the Event & Tournament Coordinator in the execution of golf events
- Follow all policies procedures and service standards
- Ensure seamless guest movement from the shuttle arrival through the Golf Shop to the cart staging area
Qualifications :
- A valid Class 5 BC Drivers license with a clean record is required
- Previous customer service and/or retail experience is required
- Previous golf course experience an asset but not required
- Previous point of sale system experience an asset but not required
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (specifically Word and Excel)
