Job Summary

Principal responsibilities include:

Identifying work to be performed;
Fitting up components;
Set up welding equipment for specific tasks to be performed;
Welding of components using proper equipment and techniques;
Grinding and finishing welds to make them aesthetically appealing;
Perform daily housekeeping tasks and preventative maintenance;
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts as needed within safety guidelines;

Qualifications include:

High School or GED required;
A minimum of 1 year of experience welding steel and aluminum (Technical School graduates will be considered);
Able to weld steel and aluminum;
Ability to pass a welding certification test for steel and aluminum;
Ability to MIG TIG and Stick

Key required competencies include:

Ability to schedule and complete tasks with minimal supervision;
Ability to stand for 8 hours daily;
Ability to lift 75 pounds without assistance on a regular basis;
Frequent bending squatting climbing on ladders and lifting;
Ability to read and understand blueprints;
Must be proficient in verbal and written communication in the English language;
Strong attention to detail and focus on safety and quality;
Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools;
Ability to read measuring devices;
Basic math skills
