Objective of the role (Why)
Structural Risk comprises Liquidity Risk Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) Currency Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk. The Structural Risk Management team ensures independent oversight and challenge of day-to-day risk management activities in the perimeter of structural risk performed by first line of defense when managing their risks. The team evaluates existing processes understands the risks that arise as part of business activities and takes part as appropriate in the determination of any remedial actions needed.
The team has the following specific responsibilities:
- Implement the risk management framework as defined by parent company Société Générales risk department
- Annual update/review of structural risk policies and procedures
- Provide training on structural risk related topics to internal stakeholders
- Identify risk drivers and emerging risks both at group and local levels
- Review risk indicator framework on local level Ayvens level and SG level when relevant to Ayvens.
- LoD2 challenges in processes in which structural risk topics are covered (ICAAP ILAAP Stress Testing Recovery Plan...)
- Represent LOD2 in relevant committees.
The team cooperates closely with the ALM/Treasury Ayvens Bank and Capital Management teams within LoD1 with local entities as well as the different teams within the Finance and Risk addition the team has a functional link to the RISQ/ALM team in Société Generale.
The job can be based in Paris (La Defense) or in case the job is based in Paris the candidate has to be willing to frequently travel to Amsterdam.
Areas of responsibilities (What)
The Structural Risk Manager mainly focuses on the following topics:
- Updating and further improving and automating the monthly analyses on Ayvens structural risk exposures to understand the key developments and check the accuracy of the numbers.
- Supporting the team in further strengthening the LoD2 structural risk oversight on Ayvens leasing entities across the globe and further improving adherence to the Structural Risk Policy.
- Supporting the team in preparing ad-hoc challenges for instance on funding planning and interest rate risk hedging.
- Supporting the team in setting appropriate structural risk limits for leasing entities and Ayvens overall.
- Supporting the team on preparing and challenging regulatory deliverables such as ICAAP ILAAP LCR NSFR and ITS (interest rate risk) reporting.

Education / knowledge
- At least a relevant University degree preferably in a financial area (e.g. in Economics Finance Econometrics)
- Familiar with ALM/Treasury topics such as Interest Rate Risk and Liquidity Risk.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ideally in Power BI
Skills
- Fluency in English is required.
Experience
- 5 to 10 years of work experience in financial services preferably in ALM/Treasury or alternatively in financial reporting/regulatory reporting with exposure to ALM/Treasury topics.
- Experience in an international business environment and working with different countries cultures and teams is a plus
Other
- Willing to be based in Amsterdam or to travel to Amsterdam frequently if based in Paris.
