Job Summary
We are hiring: IP Counsel Mobile Security & Electronic Payments.
Location: Pune
Your Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational support for intellectual property matters across the business units focused on Mobile Security and Electronic Payments.
Through own work and in collaboration with our external agent ensure we achieved high quality and assertable IP rights by drafting filing and prosecuting patent applications.
Manage and maintain the companys IP portfolio in India and support global IP activities in coordination with the corporate IP department.
Conduct patentability assessments freedom-to-operate analyses and IP risk evaluations.
Advise internal stakeholders on IP-related legal and strategic issues including licensing partnerships and third-party rights.
Monitor competitor IP activities and support enforcement actions when necessary.
Liaise with external patent attorneys and legal counsel as well as with international colleagues within the GD Group.
Your Profile:
Degree in engineering electronics computer science or a related technical discipline.
Qualification as a registered Indian Patent Agent; legal background or law degree is a plus.
At least 5 years of experience in intellectual property law preferably in an in-house role within a technology-driven company.
Solid understanding of technologies related to Mobile Security Smartcards Payment Systems and Cryptography.
Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global cross-functional environment.
