Role Overview
The CSA Project Manager will oversee the construction design delivery installation and quality assurance of civil structural and architectural works for data center construction projects across Europe. This role requires managing all aspects of CSA delivery including site preparation foundations structural steel building envelope and architectural finishes.
Operating as part of CloudHQs Construction Management team the CSA Project Manager ensures the successful execution of CSA scopes while maintaining safety schedule adherence and compliance with industry regulations. The candidate will work closely with contractors vendors consultants and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of robust and scalable infrastructure for mission-critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight for CSA Works
- Plan and manage the execution of civil structural and architectural works from site preparation through building completion.
- Ensure all CSA works meet CloudHQs technical standards tenant-specific requirements and compliance with local codes and sustainability regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve construction challenges during execution ensuring CSA scopes stay aligned with project schedules.
- Review construction drawings and specifications for compliance and constructability ensuring smooth execution during the installation phase.
CSA Project Execution
- Oversee and monitor project-specific plans for CSA scopes including detailed timelines resource allocation and cost management.
- Coordinate with general contractors to ensure CSA materials procurement delivery and installation align with construction milestones.
- Conduct on-site inspections monitoring progress and ensuring work adheres to designs contracts and applicable building codes.
- Facilitate regular project meetings ensuring risks are identified early and mitigation plans are implemented effectively.
Contract and Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with general contractors vendors and suppliers for CSA works ensuring proper execution and adherence to contracts.
- Ensure CSA materials and components are delivered on time and meet quality standards specified in the project scope.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor performance addressing issues to ensure successful project delivery.
Compliance & Safety Oversight
- Ensure all CSA construction activities fully comply with local building codes health and safety regulations and CloudHQ standards for safety and performance.
- Enforce strict adherence to contractor safety protocols during all phases of construction.
- Promote a culture of safety on site and work closely with HSE teams to implement and monitor safety practices.
- Ensure sustainability practices and energy-efficient design principles are integrated into CSA works.
Technical Leadership & Value Engineering
- Provide subject matter expertise in civil structural and architectural design and construction phases.
- Oversee quality assurance processes including concrete testing steel inspections and building envelope integrity checks.
- Lead value engineering efforts to optimize CSA system costs while maintaining structural integrity performance and reliability.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders detailing risks opportunities and milestones for CSA works during construction phases.
- Maintain comprehensive records for project schedules compliance activities and metrics related to CSA scopes.
- Deliver post-project reports summarizing lessons learned remaining actions and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Technical Expertise in CSA Works
- Extensive knowledge of civil structural and architectural design and construction for data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
- Familiarity with structural redundancy principles and sustainable building practices.
Construction Management Knowledge
- Proven experience managing large-scale CSA scopes during the construction phase of data centers or similar industrial facilities.
- Skilled in monitoring contractor performance resolving construction conflicts and driving successful project outcomes on-site.
Compliance & Design Knowledge
- Familiarity with building codes permitting systems and sustainability regulations governing CSA works for critical infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in construction management tools and methodologies.
Project Management Skills
- Ability to independently manage complex construction schedules and risk strategies while delivering CSA works on time and within scope.
- Proficiency in project tracking tools.
Communication & Leadership Skills
- Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams including contractors suppliers and CloudHQ stakeholders during construction execution.
- Effective communicator capable of providing actionable insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive problem solver capable of addressing challenges during critical project milestones while ensuring smooth delivery of systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Architecture or Construction Management.
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in construction management roles focusing on CSA works for data centers industrial facilities or other large-scale projects. Experience in quality assurance and commissioning processes for CSA works in high-tech or mission-critical environments
