As a Lead Innovation Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Fraud Risk Group under Trust & Security youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives in Fraud Sentry Originations.
Job responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative technology solutionsfor account origination fraud risk assessment.
- Deliver creative software solutionsthrough advanced design development and technical troubleshooting consistently thinking beyond conventional approaches to solve complex challenges.
- Architect event-driven systemsutilizing Kafka as the central event streaming platform.
- Enable real-time data processing and scalable microservices architecturesto drive rapid insights superior customer experiences and seamless cross-functional integration.
- Develop secure high-quality production codeand conduct thorough code reviews and debugging to ensure excellence across the team.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issuesto enhance the operational stability and reliability of software applications and systems.
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teamsto rigorously assess architectural designs technical capabilities and integration potential within existing systems.
- Champion communities of practice within Software Engineeringto promote awareness and adoption of emerging and leading-edge technologies.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- 5 years of professional experiencein software engineering or related fields.
- Proven hands-on expertisein system design application development testing and ensuring operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in Java with a strong foundation in domain-driven design and Spring Boot application development.
- Skilled in automation and continuous deliverypractices driving efficiency and reliability.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC) and best practices.
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD application resiliency and security principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processeswithin a specialized technical discipline such as cloud-native applications.
- Extensive knowledge of financial services industrypractices and IT systems.
- Practical experience with cloud-native platforms including AWS Pivotal Cloud Foundry or similar technologies.
