St. Lukes Cancer Center is recruiting for the future! Our program is rapidly growing and is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Hematology/Medical Oncology program in Nampa. You will be joining our well-developed and multidisciplinary team of physicians and advanced practitioners. This position will primarily support the benign hematology patient population. This candidate will collaborate with attending physicians to provide advanced clinical care. Responsibilities include working in a team-based environment to provide outpatient ambulatory clinic support to patients needing treatment as well as short- and long-term surveillance. A candidate will collect and document data order diagnostic and therapeutic procedures order and schedule laboratory studies and consultations and provide direct patient care services. They will join a growing team of Hematology/Oncology physicians and APPs that pride themselves in working and collaborating equitably.
Responsibilities may include all or some of the following:
- Independently assess and evaluate patients with benign hematology issues including anemia cytopenias and simple coagulopathies and hypercoagulable states
- Provide outpatient cares for benign hematology consultations and patients.
- Provide Southampton Hospital coverage as needed.
- Write orders for treatment and renew prescriptions.
- Review evaluate and make recommendations regarding laboratory findings for patients.
- Manage outpatient phone calls including toxicity assessments and recommendations.
- Educate patients and family members regarding their diagnoses and therapies.
- Knowledge of basic software packages and hospital information systems (EMR).
