The Role

As one of the biggest and quickest growing affiliate brands in the industry we are looking for a Devops Engineer to oversee and maintain our Kubernetes-based infrastructure design implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines cloud-based solutions and monitoring systems to support our development teams

What youll be doing

• Design implement and maintain cloud-native infrastructure.
  

• Deploy Manage and Improve container orchestration using Docker Kubernetes or similar technologies
  

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration Management using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  

• Deploy manage and maintain Helm charts for various applications.
  

• Implement and manage GitOps workflows using Kustomize and ArgoCD for microservice deployments.
  

• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery using Gitllab.
  

• Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability and performance.
  

• Establish and maintain monitoring systems for all our architecture using Prometheus Signoz Tempo and Grafana.
  

• Maintain and optimise database operations for MySQL MariaDB and PostgreSQL.
  

• Provide insights from industry best practices when necessary
  

• Ensure security best practices are followed in deployments infrastructure and application management.
  

• Automate scaling logging and alerting to enhance system resilience

Who were looking for

• Working knowledge on Kubernetes and managing containerized applications.
  

• Previous experience in managing infrastructure through code using technologies like Terraform Pulumi or CloudFormation.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems and microservices.

• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes Helm).
  

• Excellent knowledge of Ubuntu and Unix based operating systems.
  

• Confidence working with the LEMP stack (Nginx MySQL/MariaDB PHP).
  

• Experience with cloud computing platforms and services such as DigitalOcean and Amazon Web Services.
  

• Familiarity with versioning software (Git Bitbucket GitLab).
  

• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages is a big plus.
  

• Familiarity with Autoscalers like KEDA is a big plus.
  

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and knowledge on how to administer and manage these tools (mostly ArgoCD and GitLab).
  

• Understands the full development life cycle
  

• Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools like Prometheus Grafana Graylog or Datadog.
  

• Understanding of microservice design and implementation

• Fluent spoken and written English.
