About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work within Primary Care A&E Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) and Out of Hours (OOH) services in Dudley. This is a patient-facing role requiring autonomous clinical decision-making safe prescribing and effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
Location: Dudley
Pay Rates:
- Weekdays: 45 per hour
- Weekends: 50 per hour
(Approx. 2.53.0 calls per hour)
Tasks
- Conduct advanced clinical assessments for adults and children.
- Diagnose treat and manage acute and minor illnesses and injuries.
- Independently prescribe medications in line with V300 prescribing authority.
- Order interpret and act upon diagnostic tests.
- Provide safe evidence-based clinical care within local and national guidelines.
- Manage referrals admissions and discharges appropriately.
- Maintain accurate timely clinical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with GPs nurses and wider MDT colleagues.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must have:
- Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice OR HEE ACP Digital Badge
- Prescribing Certificate (V300)
- Level 7 qualification in one of the following:
- Minor Illness
- Minor Injury
- Role-specific Level 7 qualification (e.g. Diabetic Nurse Specialist / ACP)
- Proven experience working in:
- Primary Care
- A&E
- Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC) / Out of Hours (OOH)
- Proof of professional indemnity
Registration
- Copy of valid professional registration:
- NMC and/or HCPC (as applicable)
Required Compliance Documents
- Enhanced DBS:
- If on the Update Service: original DBS must be provided for verification
- If not on the Update Service: DBS must be issued within the last 3 years
- Right to Work in the UK:
- Valid in-date passport OR
- Full-size birth certificate (colour copy)
- Non-British passport holders must provide a valid Home Office Share Code
- No visa sponsorship is available for this role
Mandatory Training & Certifications
- Basic Life Support (Adults) within the last 12 months
- Basic Life Support (Paediatrics) within the last 12 months
- Safeguarding Adults Level 3 within the last 3 years
- Safeguarding Children Level 3 within the last 3 years
Health & Immunisations
- Vaccination history (preferred but not mandatory):
- Tetanus Diphtheria & Polio
- MMR
- BCG
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Influenza
References
- Two clinical references covering the last 2 years
