About the Role:
At our Childrens Hospital we are seeking a Residency-Trained Clinical Pharmacist to join our 32-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role requires advanced clinical training and experience in acute care pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and monitor clinical pharmacy programs to improve patient outcomes and reduce cost.
- Provide direct clinical services to patients and professional staff in the PICU.
- Collaborate with medical staff on drug utilization and cost containment strategies.
- Assist in supervising departmental activities in collaboration with the Director and/or Pharmacy Manager.
- Uphold the Partners-in-Caring process by delivering compassionate innovative and accountable care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Completion of ASHP-accredited residency training (PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy required) or minimum 3 years of Pediatric experience will be considered.
Licensure/Certification:
- Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Texas.
- Pharmacy Sterile Product Certification (through in-house or other accredited program).
Experience:
- PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency training required or minimum 3 years of Pediatric experience will be considered.
- Current clinical pharmacist experience in PICU or acute care pediatrics/childrens hospital.
- Strong teamwork leadership and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with pharmacy/hospital computer systems and healthcare reimbursement environments.
Must-Haves:
- Completion of PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency. Or minimum 3 years of Pediatric experience will be considered.
- Residency already completed (no current residents).
- Clinical pharmacist experience in PICU or related pediatric acute care.
