Randstad is seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Data Systems Analyst/Architect for a high-impact role with our premier client in Washington DC. In this capacity you will serve as the primary architect of data integrity bridging the gap between complex business requirements and robust technical execution. You will be responsible for mapping intricate information flows identifying systemic gaps and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders-including data stewards and enterprise architects-to build resilient metadata environments. By leveraging deep ETL and database expertise you will not only oversee data validation but also spearhead a program of continuous improvement to ensure long-term operational excellence and information quality across the organizations most critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Architecture & Integration: Identify and bridge information flow gaps between disparate systems collaborating with application owners to ensure seamless data continuity.
- Data Governance & Quality: Lead a comprehensive program for sustainable information quality managing metadata challenges and strengthening the control environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Consult with data stewards and business leaders to align data solutions with organizational goals and operational resiliency.
- Technical Analysis: Translate complex Business Requirements Functional Specifications and Technical Specifications into actionable data models and test plans.
- Data Validation & ETL: Oversee complex data loads and test data setups using ETL tools and database management utilities.
- Process Optimization: Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices within both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall development lifecycles.
Qualifications
- Methodology Expertise: Proven experience working within Agile Scrum and Waterfall development and testing frameworks.
- Technical Toolset: Hands-on proficiency with database tools such as Informatica Autosys SQL Developer Toad or DB Artisan.
- Database Mastery: Extensive experience performing data scheduling database testing and validation on Oracle and SQL Server platforms.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to analyze test-basis documents and technical specs to identify architectural flaws or data discrepancies.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to partner with architects and technology teams to drive enterprise-wide solutions.
- Location: Ability to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity with our client in the Washington DC metro area.
