Job Summary

Our client Waycon Manufacturing Ltd. based in Penticton BC is a leading industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer serving clients across North America. At the forefront of the industry they are driven by a skilled team of mechanical engineers and tradespeople all equipped with advanced tooling and cutting-edge equipment. Their welding fabrication facilities specialize in carbon stainless steel and aluminum components adhering to CSA standards W47.1 for steel and W47.2 for aluminum.

They are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their this key role you will fabricate and weld components and assemblies while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. This position is ideal for a self-motivated detail-oriented professional with strong blueprint reading skills fabrication expertise and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate and inspect finished parts for quality and blueprint accuracy;
Execute welding using flux core metal core and hardwire techniques;
Safely operate overhead cranes cutting torches and welding tools;
Maintain a clean organized and safe work area daily;
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently;
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Journeyman Metal Fabricator or Welder with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience;
CWB certification across multiple welding processes (required);
Proven experience in custom fabrication and the ability to adapt to varying project demands;
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address fabrication challenges;
Ability to read and interpret welding and schematic blueprints;
Strong commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship;
Detail-oriented with precision in quality assurance;
Self-motivated and effective in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive hourly wage: $20$40/hour depending on experience and qualifications;
