Job Title: Early Years Head of Department

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Early Years Head of Department (HOD) to lead and oversee our Early Years program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality education aligned with international best practices fostering a nurturing learning environment and providing strategic leadership to the Early Years team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Early Years department.
Supervise and support Early Years teachers ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
Lead professional development initiatives and mentor staff to enhance instructional practices.
Conduct performance evaluations provide constructive feedback and support staff growth.
Curriculum & Teaching Excellence:
Ensure a child-centered inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning.
Monitor and evaluate curriculum delivery assessment strategies and student progress.
Foster an engaging inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Stay updated with the latest trends and research in Early Years education to drive innovation.
Parental & Community Engagement:
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians maintaining open communication.
Organize parent workshops meetings and events to enhance engagement.
Represent the Early Years department in school-wide events and initiatives.
Operational & Administrative Duties:
Develop and manage the Early Years departments budget and resources.
Ensure compliance with school policies child protection guidelines and international accreditation standards.
Collaborate with senior leadership on school-wide initiatives and strategic planning.
Oversee health safety and well-being protocols for young learners.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Leadership Training: Preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Early Years teaching with leadership or supervisory experience.
Skills: Strong leadership communication problem-solving and team-building skills.
Preferred Attributes:
Passionate about early childhood education and child development.
Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment.
Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
Required Skills:
