Operational Technology (OT) Specialist

Ferring You Our collaboration
Your immediate team consists of 3 very experienced colleagues: the head of our IT/OT function a System analyst andan OT hardware specialist who enjoy sharing knowledge and collaborating to solve problems.
This experienced team collaborate cross-functionally with production QA and Compliance.

In addition to daily operations we focus on innovation and digitalization which involves migrating more IT into the systems. Future projects include an increased focus on data AVEVA PI and integrating a new SAP solution explains Hassan Aslam head of our IT/OT function.

Your day at Ferring
As our OT specialist you will be central to ensure the stability of the Distributed Control System (DCS) at our manufacturing site providing operational support and managing projects.
You will have hands-on responsibility for the Sattline application layer including:

• Analyzing batch and process execution logic to troubleshoot production issues

• Identifying where in the application code a process deviation or failure occurred

• Implementing and validating code changes when processes are adjusted or improved.

• Participate in projects related to automation digitalization and process optimization.

• Ensuring changes comply with GMP validation and change control requirements

Drawing on your expertise and hands-on experience you will also contribute to lifecycle management and business-critical projects including upgrades and alignment of technical systems and processes.

In addition you have:

• Solid experience developing modifying and troubleshooting OT application code including batch logic alarms and process sequencing in a regulated environment

• Hands-on experience with Sattline (preferred) or comparable batch-oriented SCADA/DCS systems including configuration and application-level programming.

• Experience in translating process changes and production improvements into Sattline application code ensuring traceability testing and GMP compliance

• A good understanding of GMP rules and regulations combined with experience from the pharma chemistry or food industry

• A degree in engineering automation computer science or a related field or equivalent practical experience
