Shift Engineer

As a Shift Engineer you will play a key role in maintaining the safety functionality and presentation of the resorts facilities. You will respond to maintenance requests perform preventative maintenance and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across guest rooms public areas and back-of-house
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure compliance
• Assist with basic electrical plumbing HVAC and mechanical tasks
• Ensure all work complies with WHS regulations and resort standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report major issues to management
• Participate in shift rotations including weekends and public holidays as required

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role ideally within hospitality or resorts
• Relevant certifications (desirable but not essential)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
• Must have full Australian working rights

**This role is paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020 with Monday-Friday pay rate starting from $30.68 per hour Saturday pay rate: $38.35/hr and Sunday pay rate: $46.01/hr (plus applicable penalty and public holiday rates)**
