The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst is responsible for supporting maintaining and optimizing EDI systems and data exchanges between the organization and its external partners. Working remotely this role ensures the accurate secure and timely transmission of electronic transactions in compliance with industry standards and organizational requirements. The EDI Analyst collaborates with internal teams vendors and trading partners to resolve issues implement new integrations and support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor daily EDI transactions to ensure successful data exchange
Support the setup testing and onboarding of new EDI trading partners
Analyze troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction errors and system issues
Ensure compliance with EDI standards (e.g. ANSI X12 EDIFACT HIPAA) and organizational policies
Coordinate with internal IT operations finance and compliance teams
Maintain EDI mapping specifications documentation and data flow diagrams
Perform data validation reconciliation and quality checks
Support system upgrades enhancements and process improvements
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to EDI transactions
Assist with audits regulatory compliance and reporting requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 35 years of experience working with EDI systems and integrations
Strong knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT
Experience with EDI translators and platforms (e.g. Gentran Cleo Seeburger Sterling or similar)
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot data and transaction issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare (HIPAA EDI) logistics retail or manufacturing industries
Familiarity with ERP systems and data integration tools
Knowledge of SQL XML or related data formats
Experience with cloud-based EDI solutions
Relevant professional certifications
Annual Compensation:
Salary Range: $75000 $110000 per year based on experience technical expertise and geographic location
