The Armed Forces Recruiting Service (AFRS) will see MOD Serco and their consortium of partners providing a Tri-Service recruiting solution which for the RN will commence on 1 Apr 27. AFRS will provide end to end support from candidate attraction to assessment to preparing to join Phase 1 training. The solution will utilise Service Personnel in high value candidate facing roles in the Command and Support Unit and in recruitment selection Under-Represented Groups outreach and the national career centre.

Unit Function | The HQ AFR will deliver integrated tri-service recruitment for the Armed Forces to build and maintain force levels able to meet Defence outputs. |

Responsibilities |
1. As directed conduct briefing sessions assessment selection exercises and interviews of candidates. | |
2. Evaluate each Candidate against fixed event exercise criteria. | |
3. Make recommendations regarding the candidates suitability for a career in the Services and chosen role. | |
4. Ensure that accurate and relevant event and result records and observations are created and maintained for all OR candidates using AFRS system. | |
5. As directed assist the development of selection process through reviews of assessment practice support assurance and drive continuous improvement. | |
6. Ensure the safety of candidates on test in accordance with Assessment Centre standing orders/SOPs. | |
7. Share personal lived experience of life in the Armed Forces to engage and inform candidates. | |
8. Provision of DoC / pastoral care and welfare support to Candidates and U18s in accordance with the HoE Supervisory Care Directive. | |
