About the Role

An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in Ealing is looking to appoint a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusion and supporting children with complex learning and behavioural needs.

You will be supporting pupils with Autism SEMH MLD and speech and language difficulties working both in the classroom and within small intervention groups. The role requires consistency emotional intelligence and a proactive approach to pupil support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored SEN support to pupils with additional needs

  • Support learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher

  • Assist pupils with communication sensory regulation and social skills

  • Support pupils with behaviour management using positive strategies

  • Help pupils access the curriculum in an inclusive and supportive way

  • Contribute to progress tracking and SEN reviews

  • Support pupils during breaktimes and transitions

  • Maintain a safe supportive learning environment

Person Specification

  • Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable

  • Calm consistent and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to follow behaviour plans and SEN strategies

  • Willingness to learn and engage in ongoing training

Graduates in psychology education or related fields are encouraged to apply as are candidates with experience in care or youth settings.
