A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Westminster is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with communication and interaction needs. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about helping children develop communication skills confidence and independence within a mainstream primary environment.
You will be working across EYFS and Key Stage 1 supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) speech and language needs and social communication difficulties. Support will be delivered through a combination of 1:1 support small group interventions and in-class assistance.
This school has a strong inclusive ethos and a well-developed SEN provision. The leadership team and SENCo are highly supportive and work closely with teaching assistants to ensure clear strategies and consistent support are in place.

Support pupils with communication and interaction needs
Assist with speech language and social skills development

Implement strategies from EHCPs and support plans
Observe and record pupil progress
Work collaboratively with teachers SENCo and therapists
Experience supporting children with communication needs or Autism

Willingness to engage in SEN and speech-and-language training
