Role Overview

A well-resourced primary school in Ealing is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their resource provision unit. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about supporting pupils with complex learning communication and social needs and want to make a tangible difference in an inclusive setting.

You will support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with needs including Autism SEMH challenges ADHD speech and language difficulties and moderate learning difficulties. Support will be delivered through a combination of 1:1 support small group interventions and classroom assistance.

The resource provision unit is well-organised and supported by an experienced SENCo teaching staff and therapists. Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in the resource provision unit and mainstream classrooms

  • Deliver targeted interventions and structured learning activities

  • Support communication social and emotional development

  • Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and support plans

  • Promote independence confidence and positive behaviour

  • Assist with transitions between learning environments

  • Record observations and contribute to SEN reviews

  • Work collaboratively with teachers SENCo and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN preferably in resource provision

  • Calm patient and resilient approach

  • Confident delivering structured interventions

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
