Were currently searching for a Registered Nurse to join our Schiffert Health Center team in Blacksburg VA to help us in our mission. So if you would like to make a difference in the health and wellbeing of our VT students please keep reading.
HERES WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS ROLE:
1) Youll be joining the Schiffert Health Center team; a department centered on the health and wellbeing of the Virginia Tech student population.
2)Youll be reporting to the Nurse Manager in a Regular nine-month 1500-hour wage position.
3)Youll be responsible to maintain and promote the health of the student body at Virginia Tech by performing skills as a Registered Nurse under the supervision of Physician and Registered Nurse leadership.
4)Youll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
5)Youll be offered an hourly rate between $34.25 and $37.50 depending upon experience.

Required Qualifications
Demonstrates excellent professional nursing skills
Experience preferably in a college health setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to relate well with both patients and fellow workers
Demonstrates empathy for patients
Makes independent clinical judgments.
Computer/Electronic Medical Record experience.
Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in College Health Nursing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Certified as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE).
