Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform janitorial and special events/activities set up work across all parish buildings and grounds. Assist the Maintenance Manager with special projects. Help to ensure a clean safe and attractive environment inside all parish buildings adjacent grounds parking lot and surrounding property.

HOURS: This is a part-time position (10-20 hrs/wk) with afternoon/evening and alternate weekend hours.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform set-up/teardown and cleanup of facilities for parish meetings and activities.
Clean all rooms and bathrooms including but not limited to dusting moping vacuuming emptying trash containers and replacing supplies.
Shovel sidewalks and entrances as needed.
Address staff needs and issues as they arise.
Follow campus security policies and procedures.
Other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Minor repair skills a plus.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Direct report to the Maintenance Manager.
Indirect report to the Business Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience with computers.
Ability to bend stoop climb reach and lift 50 lbs. or more and to be mobile for an extended period.
Ability to communicate professionally and work as a team.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Strong integrity and honesty with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Willingness to work over regularly scheduled hours as needed especially during holidays special events and emergencies.
Must complete the Archdiocesan Protecting Gods Children training and pass a background check.
