Temp Medical Lab Technician or Technologist

Lighthouse Labs seeks a skilled Temporary Medical Technician or Technologist to join our healthcare partner in Chesapeake VA for a 13-14 week temporary position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses interpreting results and ensuring accuracy in diagnostic testing.

About the Client: The client is a privately owned independent family practice serving the Portsmouth Western Branch Chesapeake and North Suffolk communities in Hampton Roads Virginia. Required Skills and Abilities:

• Perform moderate complexity medical laboratory tests for diagnosis treatment and prevention of disease.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
• Record and report test results following laboratory protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely information.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Strong understanding of medical terminology physiology anatomy and laboratory procedures.
• Strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
• Other duties as required.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• ASAP Certification as a Medical Technician or Technologist is highly preferred.
• Prior experience with Sysmex XN-430 and Siemens Dimension EXL 200.

Salary/Schedule:

• 1st shift M-F 5 8:30-5:00pm M-F
• $32-42/hr (local temps only)
