Make a Difference

The Supervisor Instrument Processing plays a vital leadership role in supporting the Operating Room by coordinating all activities of the sterile processing department. This position is responsible for cleaning decontamination maintenance and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. Additional responsibilities include organizing staff education scheduling quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should demonstrate strong leadership organizational skills excellent communication skills positive attitude toward problem-solving and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification preferred (or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire)
  • Current IAHCSMM (now named HSPA Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) certification required.
  • Three or more years of current sterile processing experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Expert knowledge of sterile processing standards and instrumentation.
  • Ability to build motivate and lead a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and improve processes.
  • Demonstrates accountability customer service skills and openness to learning.
