Team Lead Operational

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operational Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of warehouse employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise leadership skills and effective communication to drive team success. Hours are Mon-Thurs 7am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 11am.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Partner with the Leadership on employee scheduling labor efficiency work instructions and throughput.
• Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets.
• Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date.
• Collaborate with purchasing customer service and production to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts.
• Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed.
• Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets.
• Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter.
• Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required.
• Minimum of 2 years in a distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required.
• 3-5 years in a distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred.

Required Licenses

• Ability to become certified on powered industrial equipment.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead: working team member who coordinates supports trains and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Activities

This position is subject to the following physical activities: climbing balancing kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting grasping feeling crawling talking hearing and repetitive motions.

Visual Acuity

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions including heat noise vibration and hazards from a warehouse-based environment.
