Dakota State University is seeking applications for a full-time facility worker. Primary responsibilities include custodial care and minor maintenance.
The position will be scheduled Monday through Friday with an 8-hour workday and a start time of either 4:00 or 5:00 am. Occasional weekends are required.
Responsibilities:
Floor care mainly vacuuming and mopping but could include scrubbing waxing and shampooing carpets.
Clean and sanitize restrooms.
Collect and remove trash from building.
Dust and wash walls woodwork and windows (inside and out).
Remove snow from steps and sidewalks near buildings.
Moving furniture.
Set-up and clean-up of campus events.
Successful candidate must be able to:
Follow written and oral instructions.
Stand for extended periods of time.
Work with students staff and the public courteously.
Work independently.
Lift 50 pounds.
Bend stretch climb ladders twist and walk.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available for this position.)
