SERVPRO of Western Lancaster & East York is hiring a fully remote Desk Estimator!

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Restoration Desk Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and project management in the restoration industry and will play a crucial role in assessing and estimating restoration projects accurately. We are committed to making every type of property damage Like it never even happened!

Key Responsibilities

Review and assess property damage reports and documentation to understand the scope of restoration work required.
Conduct on-site inspections when necessary to gather additional information and assess the extent of damage.
Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for restoration projects including materials labor and equipment costs.
Collaborate with project managers production teams and clients to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements.
Negotiate with insurance adjusters and other stakeholders to reach agreements on project scope and cost.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards best practices and pricing guidelines.
Provide support to the production teams by creating job files project schedules and work orders.
Document all interactions and project details in a clear and organized manner.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Work with outside resources as necessary to complete accurate estimate (i.e Structural Engineers ITEL Electrical Inspectors etc.).

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in construction management business or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating and project management in the restoration industry.
Proficient in Xactimate (2 plus years preferred).
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in estimating.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of restoration materials techniques and industry best practices.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
