Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Greenville SC
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 3x12
Hours: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Weekly Gross Pay: $2001
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support a high-acuity adult critical care environment at a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in trauma care mechanical ventilation management and advanced respiratory therapies for adult and geriatric patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in critical care settings
Perform airway management procedures including extubation suctioning nasal and oral airway placement and tracheostomy care
Deliver pulmonary hygiene therapies and collect sputum specimens
Administer respiratory medications via aerosol mask trach setup handheld nebulizers T-piece trach collar metered dose inhalers and Medihalers
Manage oxygen delivery systems including high-flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy
Initiate monitor and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP CPAP)
Assist with mechanical ventilation management alarm troubleshooting and ventilator weaning
Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
Adult Critical Care experience required
Trauma Level I experience required
Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
Strong knowledge of respiratory medications including but not limited to:
Albuterol Atrovent Combivent Flovent Pulmicort Performist Racemic Epinephrine Spiriva Terbutaline Tobramycin Xopenex and others
Certifications & Licensure
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
Active South Carolina Respiratory Care License
