Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses providing timely and effective care.
- Perform a range of physicals including DOT pre-employment and return-to-work assessments ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Conduct OSHA-mandated exams respirator clearances and drug/alcohol testing promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Emphasize injury prevention and early intervention strategies working closely with employers to implement safe return-to-work plans.
- Collaborate with physicians clinical staff and employer partners to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
- Utilize efficient workflows designed to support your autonomy and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in occupational medicine and best practices.
- Build strong relationships with employers and employees fostering a culture of trust and open communication.
Qualifications- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a valid license to practice in Illinois.
- Experience in occupational medicine or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong clinical skills and a passion for preventive care and health promotion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
- A commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards is an asset.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference in the community.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a dynamic and collaborative practice environment.
